How does Modern Clean work?
We have tried to simplify things as much as possible to take the headache out of booking a cleaning service. Simply use our online booking system and have a cleaning booked in under 60 seconds. You will also be able to manage, change or cancel all your appointments online at your own convenience.

What areas do you service?
We are currently servicing the city of Calgary.
Do I need to be home?
Being home during your cleanings is entirely up to you. While booking, you will be asked entry questions as to how we can gain access to your home. We will also send you an email reminder 1 day before your appointment and a text reminder 1 hour before we arrive.
What if I have a pet?
We love pets! However, if your pet tends to get anxious with strangers or is at a risk of getting out, we ask that you secure them during our cleaning. You will also be able to leave detailed pet instructions during booking.
Are you bonded and insured?
Yes to both. Our cleaners take the greatest precautions to be careful during your house cleaning. In the unlikely event an item gets damaged, let us know within 48 hours of your appointment.
How does your referral program work?
It’s super easy. Just have your friend enter in your email address at checkout in the referral box. You will automatically be sent a code for 10% off your next cleaning. The more friends you refer, the more you save!
How does your One for One program work?
We have proudly partnered with the One Tree Planted organization. For every cleaning we do, we also donate and plant one tree on your behalf. You do not need to do anything on your part. Just by using our service you are helping keep the home we all share clean. Learn more here.
Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?
Our Modern Clean team will bring all their own cleaning supplies and equipment including mop and vacuum. If you would like us to use your own supplies or equipment just let us know during booking.
Do you use eco-friendly cleaning supplies?
We try our best to use eco-friendly cleaning solutions whenever possible. However, some jobs require stronger cleaning products to get the job done right. If you would like us to use your own cleaning products just let us know during your booking.
Can I leave specific instructions to the cleaners?
Absolutely. You will be able to leave any specific instructions or special requests during your booking.
How does your Clean Guarantee work?
If you are not satisfied with your cleaning for any reason we will come back until you are, free of charge. Simply let us know within 48 hours of your appointment and we will schedule a re-clean for you.
How do I schedule my recurring cleanings?
If you have signed up for one of our recurring cleanings (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) you will receive an email every period with a link to schedule your upcoming house cleaning. This gives you complete flexibility without needing to keep the same day or time every period.
How do I pay?
We accept all major credit at checkout including Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
We do not accept cash payments but cash tips can be optionally given to your cleaners.
When will my card be charged?
For one-time cleanings, your card will not be charged until after your appointment. For recurring cleanings, your card will be charged at initial booking and then automatically thereafter based on the frequency you have selected (for example, every month or every 2 weeks).
How do I update my billing information?
Simply login to your customer portal with your email and password to edit your billing information.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
All appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled within 12 hours of your scheduled booking with no cancellation fee. Simply follow the link in your confirmation email or login to cancel or reschedule.
Cancellations or reschedulings less than 12 hours from your scheduled time will be charged a $50 fee.
